I was born with a unique capacity for pleasure, intellectual exploration and adventure.
In the past, I wondered if my desire for more from life was a shortcoming, because I never quite fit in. Periodically, I lived with courage and my life flourished.
Yet at other times, I tried to be somebody else. I tried to be a good girl and  followed what was safe, because I wanted to belong. 
I now respect what I am and the life that was meant for me. 
After all, the hand we're dealt is a trump card, if we play the right game. This is something I've learned from those who have claimed their own path.
