My trip to Hong Kong and Singapore

Something I’ve always loved about travel is that it gives us permission to be fully alive, fully present in our senses and our surroundings, noticing the beauty of life trickling by.

During my recent FMTY in Hong Kong and tour in Singapore, I discovered something exciting - that when somebody is eagerly anticipating me, waiting for my arrival and the moment we finally get to meet, that the travel joy is doubled, quadrupled even!

Not only was I discovering somewhere new, but we were also discovering each other and the city through one another's eyes. Sometimes I felt like I was truly in the city's flow, at other times, that we had created our own private world, that nobody else could access.

Singapore was full of quiet, peaceful moments to myself (AKA spa and gallery!), as my gentleman was fairly busy.

I looked at gloriously intricate furniture and pottery at the museum, walked around the rooftop garden of the Buddhist temple, full of orchids and trails of incense smoke and lazed by our private pool in my little bikini, awaiting his return.

Thank you for making me feel like a princess! I will not soon forget our earthly delights...

Hong Kong was a weekend long pleasure bubble. My beautiful friend, much champagne, shopping and a deep commitment to hedonic indulgence and impish frolicking. My first international FMTY double and I have to say, it will be hard to beat.

I’m already planning my return to the Lion city and my next adventure. I’d love to visit Tokyo or the Mediterranean next, or go somewhere totally new for a FMTY.

Where should I go next?

Nina x
